FAQ: How Do I Study for the RD Exam Over the Holidays?

The holidays are one of the most difficult times to study for the RD exam because there are so many things you would rather be doing than studying for this exam. While you do want to take time off to spend with your loved ones, you don't want to see the holidays as a wash when it comes to studying.

 

One of the best things that you can do is make a study plan for the holiday weeks that is realistic and focuses on QUALITY vs QUANTITY. This should be activity oriented so that you can stay focused! I'll include some sample schedules below:

Using Free Resources:

Wednesday 12/24:

Thursday  12/25:

  • Review cooking temperatures of the different Christmas dishes.

  • Using NIH sheet to identify different vitamins and mineral in your meal.

Friday 12/26:

  • Watch Math Questions, MNT Part 1 and Can Size classes from the free trial.

Saturday 12/27:

Sunday 12/28:

  • Fill out blank medication study guide, pricing study guide, MNT study guide from free downloads

Monday 12/29:

Tuesday 12/30:

Wednesday 12/31:

  • Study trouble areas

  • Make a study schedule for January


Monday 12/22:

  • Watch TF and TPN Review

Tuesday 12/23:

  • Attend Group Tutoring 8p EST - Nutrition Support Practice Questions Set #2
